Proclaiming and supporting the sanctity of life is a key focus of our council. The activities shown here are a sampling of the many ways we work for the protection and respect of all life in our community. Events as they are scheduled can be found on our St. Paul Knights Calendar.
March for Life Rally – Washington D.C.The March for Life is an annual rally protesting both the practice and legality of abortion, held in Washington, D.C. on or around the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Our Council works closely with other groups to plan transportation and attend this important event. |
Novena For LifeJoin the spiritual battle to establish a culture of life in our nation as Brother Knights and our families come together in both public and private acts of prayer to promote the protection of life. The Novena for Life is scheduled to offer spiritual support during the March for Life Rally. |
NC Rally and March for LifeThis North Carolina event mirrors the national event on a local level. Knights are invited to join the walk, and volunteers are needed to prepare (grill) and serve food for the participants. |
Operation LAMBOperation LAMB, “Least Among My Brethren”, is a Knights of Columbus program to provide support for those with intellectual disabilities and their families. Volunteer activities include our semi-annual baby-bottle campaign and passing out Tootsie Rolls after selected Masses and receiving small donations to help fund this activity. |
Respect Life BreakfastBreakfast to support Respect Life activities and raise funds for the March for Life in D.C. Council Knights often attend and support this event. |
Special OlympicsOur Council provides funds as well as active support at this very special event for helping people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities, skills and success through the power of sports. Volunteers have a fantastic time while they work at the event in several capacities. |
Fatima Rosary RallyThe Annual Fatima Rosary Rally is a nationwide prayer to Our Lady to lift and save America. Our Parish comes together with other local parishes to publicly show our devotion and join our voices with thousands of other Catholics across the U.S. |
Life ChainA peaceful and prayerful public witness of pro-life individuals. Council Knights work as Marshals at the event, and also join the life chain to pray for our nation and for an end to abortion. |
40 Days for LifeThis campaign brings together the body of Christ in a spirit of unity during a focused 40-day campaign of prayer, fasting, and peaceful activism. We do this with the purpose of repentance, to seek God’s favor to turn hearts and minds from a culture of death to a culture of life, thus bringing an end to abortion |
Room at the Inn Annual BanquetResponding to the call of Christ to nurture life, Room At The Inn, operates housing and programs for single, pregnant women and single mothers with children suffering from homelessness offering them opportunities to have new lives of healthy, hope-filled independence. The annual banquet is a major fundraiser supported by Council 13236 and attended by many brothers each year. |
The Pregnancy Network Annual Gala For LifeThe Pregnancy Network has locations in Greensboro and Winston-Salem where they provide free counseling and healthcare for women with unplanned pregnancies. The annual banquet is their primary fundraising event and includes a meal with a nationally recognized keynote address. Council 13236 supports the event with attendees and funds. |
