Community

Community Programs

Supporting and strengthening our St. Paul Parish and Greensboro Community through works, funds, and other support. Events are listed on our St. Paul Knights Calendar as they are scheduled.

Lenten Fish Fry

A traditional Catholic Fish Fry prepared and served on Fridays during Lent – typically on the first and fourth Fridays. Widely regarded as the best Lenten fish fry in the city, these dinners are an excellent opportunity to volunteer and enjoy an afternoon with our Brother Knights preparing and serving the meal to parishioners and our community.

Annual Charity Golf Tournament

A fun day of golf, food, prizes and fellowship – all for charity. Our annual golf tournament is one of our largest fundraising activities each year, raising thousands of dollars for local charities as well as for St. Paul Parish needs. Council brothers come together as a committee to plan and run the event, as well as volunteering individually in all necessary role on the day of the event.

St. Paul Christmas Market Craft Fair

A community craft fair held early in the Christmas season, this event brings scores of local artists and crafts people together to show and sell their creations. The event is promoted and brings visitors from the entire Greensboro community to browse, shop, and eat together as they enjoy a true community artist event.

Keep Christ in Christmas

Promoting the true spirit of Christmas in our homes, schools, parishes, and communities. Our Council joins with Knights throughout the world to evangelize society through faithful acts, celebrations, and a variety of activities.

Fellowship Weekends

Each quarter, our council prepares and hosts a fellowship event following the 8:00 and 10:30 Sunday Masses. Knights work together to prepare, serve and straighten up afterward.

Coats for Kids

Each year our council purchases and distributes dozens of new coats to young children of families in need throughout the local Greensboro area.

Kid’s Consignment Sale

This annual event is the major fundraiser for our Parish. Brother Knights support the event by setting up racks and tables in the PLC Basketball Court, and then taking the racks and tables down and putting them back into storage.

Council Adopt-A-Street

Join our Council Cleanup Crew to help beautify our community. The Crew spends one morning each quarter cleaning our adopted stretch of Horsepen Creek Road  near St. Paul. Dates are announced at Council monthly meetings and available on our calendar.
